The Oslo
Overland Park, KS
The Oslo is a multifamily community envisioned and designed by TCA Architects and Prose Design Group for Ryan Companies, with interiors shaped around a calm, modern sensibility inspired by Scandinavian minimalism. A restrained color palette of warm neutrals and natural wood tones establishes a serene foundation, while darker accents and subtle pattern moments add contrast and rhythm throughout the spaces. Layered textures ranging from soft upholstery to clean architectural surfaces create depth without excess, allowing the design to feel refined yet comfortable. Artwork plays an important role in the narrative, with pieces sourced from Kansas City talent, including Emily of The Object Enthusiast and Hunter Silvey, adding personality and a local connection throughout the property while reinforcing a cohesive identity rooted in simplicity and livability.
Shared amenities and residential environments were furnished to support both everyday routine and social gathering, including lounge areas, collaborative spaces, and a fully furnished model unit that reflects the intended living experience. Furniture selections emphasize comfort, proportion, and durability. Hutch Contract partnered closely with TCA Architects and Prose Design Group to bring the vision to life, sourcing and procuring furnishings that align with the design intent and maintain consistency throughout high-use spaces, helping translate the designers’ concept into a functional and welcoming community.
