The James

The James in Kirkwood, Missouri, was envisioned and designed by ESG Architecture & Design for Trammell Crow, with interiors that blend refined residential living and approachable warmth. The design features a sophisticated, neutral-forward palette layered with warm woods, soft textiles and deeper accent hues that add contrast and depth. Vintage-inspired elements are woven throughout the spaces to tell a story, while a range of custom furniture and rugs were sourced to elevate each area and reinforce a sense of individuality.

Layered upholstery, mixed materials and tailored details create visual interest while supporting high-use environments. Hutch Contract partnered closely with ESG to bring the design vision to life, procuring furnishings that align seamlessly with the aesthetic narrative while delivering comfort, performance and long-term functionality.
