The Arthur
Omaha, NE
The Arthur is a multifamily community envisioned and designed by Holland Basham Architects for Burlington Capital, Sower Investment Partners and Access Commercial, located in a historic Omaha building that once housed a local veterinary clinic. The interiors honor the building’s roots while embracing a contemporary, modern aesthetic. A warm, neutral-forward color palette is layered with rich wood tones and deep accent hues, providing visual depth and contrast across the community’s shared spaces. Textures play a central role, from plush upholstery and tactile fabrics to polished surfaces and exposed architectural elements, creating environments that feel both sophisticated and approachable. Thoughtful detailing, curated materials and subtle nods to the building’s past reinforce the narrative of transformation and place a strong sense of history at the center of the design.
Furnishings were carefully curated to support both everyday living and social connection, creating comfortable, functional, and inviting environments throughout the community. Shared lounges and other amenity areas were tailored with scale, durability and layered materials that reflect the architectural narrative while supporting high-use residential spaces. Hutch Contract partnered closely with Holland Basham Architects to bring the vision to life, sourcing and procuring furniture and accessories that complement the design intent, celebrate the building’s historic character and enhance the livability and contemporary appeal of The Arthur for its residents.
