Hiro 88 presents a layered dining environment shaped by the vision of Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture, guiding the guest experience from entry to table. A balanced yet expressive palette, deep charcoals, warm woods and soft neutral foundations, anchors the interior while richer accent tones highlight key gathering areas. Textures carry the narrative: ribbed upholstery, smooth lacquer, matte stone and reflective metals balance refinement with approachability, mirroring the duality of tradition and contemporary sushi culture. Lighting is carefully orchestrated to create rhythm across the dining floor, transitioning from intimate pools at tables to brighter communal energy at the bar, guiding guests naturally through the experience.
Furnishings throughout the dining areas and bar were carefully selected to support both intimate dining and lively social gathering, reinforcing comfort without distracting from the architectural intent. Seating, tables and lounge elements balance durability with refined detailing, ensuring the space performs under constant use while maintaining a polished atmosphere. Hutch Contract partnered closely with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture to bring the design vision to life, sourcing and procuring furnishings that align with the aesthetic direction and enhance the guest experience. The result is a restaurant environment that feels cohesive, elevated and welcoming, where design and hospitality work seamlessly together.
