Flywheel is a dynamic office space in Omaha’s Millwork Neighborhood envisioned and designed by Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture for Flywheel, with interiors that reflect creativity, energy and collaborative spirit. The design embraces a bold and playful color palette, layering vibrant hues against warm neutrals to create visually stimulating environments throughout the space. Rich textures, from soft textiles and color‑blocked upholstery to mixed materials and layered finishes, bring depth and personality to each zone, while curated material transitions and intentional detailing help unify the overall narrative. Pops of saturated color in furniture and finish selections punctuate the architectural backdrop, creating moments of surprise and delight that reinforce Flywheel’s innovative identity and foster a lively, forward‑thinking workplace.

Furnishings were selected to support a variety of work styles, collaboration and social interaction, with an emphasis on comfort, scale and performance for everyday use. Bright, colorful seating, sculptural lounge pieces and lively accent furniture animate open work areas, meeting rooms and communal lounges, creating spaces that feel both functional and vibrant. Hutch Contract partnered closely with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture to bring the design vision to life, sourcing and procuring the tables, chairs and accent pieces that enhance the color story and elevate the user experience. The result is an office environment that feels purposeful, expressive and distinctly reflective of Flywheel’s culture.
