Clean Slate

Clean Slate is a hospitality experience envisioned and designed by DeOld Andersen Architecture for Clean Slate, with interiors that reflect the brand’s commitment to fresh, thoughtful and elevated everyday dining. The design embraces a light, neutral‑forward color palette layered with warm wood tones, soft textiles, and natural finishes that create an inviting and energizing atmosphere. Textures play a central role in shaping the experience, from plush seating and mixed upholstery to smooth countertops, exposed structural elements and tactile surfaces that add visual richness without overwhelming the space. Curated material transitions and intentional detailing guide the narrative throughout the café, reinforcing a cohesive identity rooted in simplicity, comfort, and a sense of place within the community.

Furnishings throughout the café were carefully selected to support both relaxed dining and social connection, creating environments that feel as functional as they do welcoming. Seating areas, communal tables, and lounge nooks were composed with attention to comfort, proportion and durability, ensuring each setting enhances the guest experience while supporting daily use. Hutch Contract partnered closely with DeOld Andersen Architecture to bring the design vision to life, sourcing and procuring furniture that align seamlessly with the aesthetic intent and contribute to the warm, approachable atmosphere that defines Clean Slate as a neighborhood destination.
