The Apex at Cityplace

The Apex at Cityplace is a multifamily community envisioned and designed by Gensler Seattle for Block Multifamily Group, with interiors that strike a balance between refined modernity and inviting warmth. The design thoughtfully uses a layered color palette, soft neutrals anchored by deeper accent tones, to create depth and visual harmony across shared environments. Texture plays an essential role throughout, with mixed materials, plush upholstery and tactile surfaces adding richness and contrast that support both comfort and sophistication. Curated artwork and strategically placed material transitions guide the narrative from one space to the next, reinforcing a cohesive identity tied to the community’s elevated lifestyle and sense of place.

Furnishings throughout amenity and social spaces were selected to support a variety of daily activities, from relaxation and conversation to focused work and social connection. Each setting blends comfort, scale and performance with an eye toward long‑term durability in high‑use environments, reinforcing the architectural intent without overshadowing it. Hutch Contract partnered closely with Gensler Seattle to bring the design vision to life, sourcing and procuring furniture and accessories that align seamlessly with the aesthetic direction while enhancing functionality and the everyday experience for residents at The Apex at Cityplace.
