44 Washington is a thoughtfully designed multifamily community envisioned and crafted by Gensler Seattle for Block Multifamily Group, with interiors that balance refined modernity and approachable comfort. The design embraces a layered palette of soft neutrals, warm wood tones and deeper accent hues to establish visual harmony throughout the space. Textures are thoughtfully integrated, from plush upholstery and mixed material surfaces to tactile architectural finishes that add depth without overwhelming. Carefully composed transitions and intentional detailing guide the narrative from one area to the next, creating cohesive environments that feel both sophisticated and livable. Elements of subtle pattern and intentional contrasts help define shared spaces while maintaining a sense of calm continuity reflective of contemporary urban living.
Furnishings throughout the amenity and social spaces were selected to support a variety of resident needs. Lounge zones, flexible gathering spaces and communal areas were composed with a focus on comfort, scale and durability, ensuring each setting feels welcoming and functional. Hutch Contract partnered closely with Gensler Seattle to bring the design vision to life, sourcing and procuring furniture and accessories that align with the aesthetic direction while enhancing the resident experience. The result is a community that feels visually cohesive, thoughtfully composed and perfectly suited to the rhythms of modern living at 44 Washington.
