A Fetching Transformation: The Arthur Apartments

Once home to a local veterinary clinic, The Arthur Apartments has been transformed into a modern Omaha residence that honors its history while embracing contemporary design. 

We were thrilled to collaborate with Burlington Capital, Sower Investment Partners, and ACCESS Commercial, alongside the talented team at Holland Basham Architects, to furnish key spaces throughout the building, from the leasing offices to the first-floor lounge and amenity spaces, all the way to the pool deck and courtyard.The reception welcomes residents and guests with a clean, modern aesthetic. Behind the front desk sits a Laura Davidson SoHo office chair, creating a professional yet stylish statement.Throughout the two leasing offices, the design continues with additional Laura Davidson SoHo office chairs and Four Hands Hawkins Guest chairs, both paired with sleek credenzas from Blu Dot and Four Hands.The Pittman Lounge on the first floor is a standout. We furnished the space entirely with favorites from Four Hands, Blu Dot and Gus Modern, creating a cohesive, inviting environment.

Some of our top picks here include the Halcyon lounge chairs from Four Hands and the Augustine sofa, perfect for residents to gather, relax, or socialize. The lounge is also a tribute to Dr. Arthur Pittman, Omaha’s first Black veterinarian, who opened his pioneering veterinary clinic on this very site in 1949, honoring the history and legacy of the space.Upstairs, in a cozy hallway nook, we introduced benches from Four Hands and chairs from Blu Dot, offering quiet spots to pause or catch up on work. The amenity space lounge is designed for both relaxation and casual gatherings.

Highlights include Heisler barstools and side tables from Four Hands, and the Blu Dot Bustle sofa, paired beautifully with Blu Dot All-In lounge chairs.

Two Blu Dot Strut dining tables anchor the space, complemented by a mix of Blu Dot chairs, including the Neat, Chip, and the Between Us dining chairs.The game room is packed with cozy lounge spots, featuring the Sun Pan Brandon recliner, Four Hands Elizabeth sofa, and Four Hands Kadon chaise lounge, making it an ideal place to unwind.For the work-from-home offices, we incorporated private meeting rooms with standing desks and task chairs. Our favorites here are the Blu Dot Puff Puff lounge chairs, which provide both comfort and a modern touch.Stepping outside, the pool deck and courtyard feature durable, stylish outdoor furniture from Nardi. Highlights include the Folio lounge chairs, sun loungers, Trill dining armchairs, and Net barstools, creating inviting outdoor areas for socializing or relaxing under the Nebraska sun.The Arthur Apartments is a testament to what thoughtful design and collaboration can achieve.
