VERVE, West Lafayette is a student housing community envisioned and designed by ESG Architecture & Design for Subtext, located steps from Purdue University. The interiors embrace an energetic yet refined atmosphere through a layered color palette that blends warm neutrals with saturated accent tones and graphic moments. Varied textures, from plush upholstery to sleek architectural finishes, create contrast and visual rhythm throughout the building. Artwork, bold pattern and playful material transitions shape a cohesive story across the property, creating spaces that feel expressive, memorable and supportive of both academic focus and social living.

Shared amenities, collaborative study environments and social gathering areas were furnished to accommodate a wide range of daily routines, while a fully furnished model unit reflects the intended student living experience. Each space balances comfort and durability through thoughtful scale, layered materials, and tailored details suited for high-use environments. Hutch Contract partnered closely with ESG Architecture & Design to bring the vision to life, sourcing and procuring furnishings that align with the design narrative while supporting long-term performance throughout this active student community.
